Saw this as a kid. It's where Starbuck(Dirk Benedict)crashes on a remote planet alongside a Cylon ship. He fixes one of the Cylons and they become friends. But the ending did not match my memory! I clearly recall the Cylon somehow wiring up his body to Starbuck and transferring heat to save his human pal during a cold night, dying in the process. Starbuck awakened and concluded what had happened. Didn't happen. The Cylon dies in a shoot out with other Cylons, saving Starbuck.
They planned a sequel but never filmed it. I have distinct images in my head of the ending I saw.
It's that Nelson Mandela with his time tricks again!

Should have consulted COPILOT first. Rookie mistake. There was a non US version with the heat transfer scene but it was taken out for the version I just saw. Sorry, Nelson.
