  • Weird Animated TV Show -possibly Hanna barbera

I saw this as a kid around the 80s and it looked dated then. It involved a trio(possibly) of weird naked or half naked men with not much facial or hand features. They may have worn hats only. I was sure at the time it was Hanna-Barbera because of the look and sound and feel of it. Could be wrong. These men were dust men/refuse collectors driving around in a dustcart. Into which they emptied garbage cans into. I only ever saw one episode of it. And it was as weird as I have described it.

    Sleep tight. Don't have nightmares.

The Great Ringtail Garbage Caper (1985)

I think this may have a bit to much detail, however its worth ruling out.
They are actually wearing overalls but hard to tell in some places?

Thanks, but alas, no. Far too realistic. Far too well drawn. And the garbage men? Way too human. What I saw involved mis-shapen blobs. They may not even have been human. And the look of the world of the toon was whiter. Paler. More expressionistic.

        An Old Box - 1975

Is it this nine-minute Canadian animated short?

Nope. Too basic. Go back the other way. Remember. They drive a dust cart around.

I saw such obscure stuff as a kid.

            C.B. Bears (1977)?

I’m coming back towards Hanna-Barbera after your “too basic” clue. Three very oddly proportioned, half-dressed non-human characters, wearing hats/headgear, and — importantly — they travel around as refuse collectors in a battered garbage truck. It was Hanna-Barbera and was first shown on BBC1 in Britain in September 1978. Does this look more like it?

                CB BEARS?????????????????

If that isn't it then someone mentally ill ripped it off AND got it past Hanna Barbera. Or someone mentally ill misremembered it.

It doesn't match what's in my head. But that's no obstacle to this being it.

I'm going to say this is it. See, I knew you could do it.

I found that and ruled it out, they are very obviously bears not half naked men and their facial features are very apparent.
Absolutely nothing like the OP description. Someones having a laugh!
