Can anyone remember a tv series in 80s or 90s about WW2 seen through the eyes of and narrated by a young boy? I think it was set in the East End of London.

Re: TV series about a young boy in WW2
Feel sure you are talking about the 70's series 'Sam' here - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159204/
Pretty sure it was repeated later too
All about the Barraclough Family and particularly its youngest member, Sam. This series lasted two years and followed Sam into his Adulthood. Must admit, the earlier years were the ones that made most impression on me too

Re: TV series about a young boy in WW2
*lol* No probs !!
There was another series called Carries War - two young evacuees sent to Wales. I really enjoyed this one too - but it was a girl and her younger brother and it was she who did most of the narrations
It was shown as a series in 1974, then remade as a film for TV in 2004.

I've been doing a lot of searching for the answer to this one but not got any fresh suggestions. I'm still looking though.
But just as an interesting bit of trivia,
