The best comedy drama series from the 1980's is being repeated on ITV4 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9pm. All four series are going to be shown back to back.
When they restored the listed mansion in Derbyshire was funny, staying in the pub with the grumpy landlord Arthur until they were kicked out when Wayne had his wicked way with his daughter. But they had him back when they left by blocking up his entrance.
Oz and Barry went for a spin were caught trout poaching
The first season is perfect Tele. There's so many great episodes there, my favourite one being the episode with Michael Elfic in it playing Mcgowan. I've tried to watch the rest, beginning with season 2 but gave up as it isn't as good. Also, was it all shot in Germany, or just the location shoots? I believe the character who played Wayne wasn't in Season 2, he died didn't he?
First two series are my comfort TV watching. For all the first series was slightly better overall, the episodes in the second series in Newcastle and Thornley Manor were the best.
Another funny episode was when marjory dosent live here anymore,Oz returns from Germany to find some other couple lived in his flat marjory his wife had moved in with her Italian boyfriend

I remember that one, Oz walks in and says something like "Whats all this then! Look a 26 inch Pye" and then turns the telly off i think.
Great series. It was repeated recently (about 3 months ago) on freeview on the "Yesterday" channel but it was on at 10am so was heavily cut. I'm looking forward to rewatching it again and hopefully as it's on later it won't be cut so much.
Great series with many memorable characters. I was watching "Bullseye" on the Challenge channel recently and the guest dart thrower was Pat Roach talking about filming the new series of Auf Wiedershen and filming Indiana Jones. For all his many roles he'll always be "Bomber" to me.
