I say 'is' because at the time I didn't really have a favourite, but I've developed a retrocrush on Edward Brayshaw after I saw him playing the war chief in Dr Who, so by default I'm liking Mr Meaker best.

I only remember the later years (which some fans don't like), but I liked them.

It was great to seem them again on The 8:15 From Manchester a few years later.

Thanks to some rights issuses only the 1st series has come out on DVD.

I heard they were making a film and Russel Brand was going to be in it (although not as Mr Claypole which you would have thought was the obvious part for him) but he's pulled out. I doubt it will be anything like the original after the Hollywood treatment. I don't know whether that is good or bad!
