A kids tv show on CITV either in the 90's or early 00's involving rats (puppets)

Okay, so I remember there being rats, puppets I think, and there was one main rat, who I think wore a smoking jacket but I'm not sure, and he used to tell scary stories. I found it quite dark and creepy for a kids show, and one of the stories really scared me and sticks out to me. There was a family, and the little girl had a dollshouse, which had exactly the same dolls as her family. She one day put the one that resembled her baby brother on the roof and then her baby brother ended up on the roof. Then one night a robber broke into her house, and into her room and a doll of him appeared in the dollshouse and she put it on the roof I think so he couldn't get her and she rung the police. It really freaked me out, if anyone can remember this please help!!!

Ah no, I'm afraid it's none of them Thank you for looking though, I think I remember the rats having like a heavy London accent but I'm not sure, and they lived underground?
It was on CITV and I think I remember watching it one half term, but ti was really good, the rats were all really common I think, and may have worn clothes but I'm not so sure.

I think the programme your thinking of was called The Ratties as I can remember the character voices were done by Spike Milligan. My daughter was 6 at the time but I can remember sitting watching it with my mum and sister falling about laughing cos it was so funny but yet scatty, and my daughter wondering what we were laughing about.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I think I know the show you're talking about- trouble is I can't remember what it was called either. I only ever saw one episode I can recall, but remember it well because it scared the living hell out of me. The story concerned two bullies who snuck onto a ghost train at a fairground, using anther kid to distract the guy behind the window. And when they got on the train they saw a creepy conductor who asked for a ticket, and when he found out the didn't have one he kept yelling "No ticket no ride!". It then cut to years later and the kid they bullied went on the train again with his girlfriend and saw their skeletons in a cage. If anyone can remember the title that'd be great!

I think this is 'Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids'. There's a bunch of episodes on YouTube. The narrator of the stories isn't actually a rat, but he is a kind of rat-like man and everything else in your description seems to fit.
