Re: kids tv shows you loved.

My Mum liked it when it first started, I didn't right off the bat-it was shown after Dogtanian ended its run I think and nowt compared at the time-we dipped in and out of it and got sick of it going on and on and on...Mum used to joke that Zea must have stunk rotten wearing the same togs all the time-same goes for the others! We got sick of the Olmecs, the flying bird, and I particularly didn't like how Ti meets his Dad at the end, he doesn't find out and then the old man karks it....naff.

The 'french/japanese' co-production....that and we are of the same demographic age range to have remembered a great cartoon-logical really.

Btw, in one episode, I am sure you actually see what The Gods look like, not the stone statue like images they usually used but an actual God....its a blink and miss it moment but its in there...its in an episode where Uyllses has to sit in a chair of forgetfulness...you see a mysterious figure walking past in the background. In the same episode I think Uyllses askes: 'why don't you show yourselves?!'....Adds up.

And another cartoon-ish programme with a family of different coloured blobs, the two biggest were called Baba Papa and Baba Mama, I think, and I'm sure Papa was pink and Mama was blue... does anyone know what that was?

That will be Barbepapa, a bit before my time, but my Mum sewed together a Barbepapa for my brother. It might still be in my parents' attic.

I had no idea that football show ever existed. I hate football though, always have. I was probably blind to it when it came around.

I haven't been right through this thread, I'll admit (so I apologise for any ones already mentioned), but does anybody else remember those programmes we used to get up early for during the summer holidays ?

Some were good, ih yeah and some were awful : these ones I am talking about :

                                Tintin
                                The Flashing Blade
                                Champion the Wonder Horse
                                Belle and Sebastion
White Horses (?) not sure about this one.
Robinson Crusoe, with that depressing music.....black and white ?

no doubt I'll remember some more at some point. Weren't a lot of them foreign as well ?
