I don't remember McGyver but I do recognise the theme tune so I obviously did come across it at some point. Might have to give it a look as McGyver looks quite fit in an all-American 80's sort of way

Stig of the Dump! I was particularly taken with the way he made a window out of jam jars. I wanted to go and live with Stig for a while.

I haven't been right through this thread, I'll admit (so I apologise for any ones already mentioned), but does anybody else remember those programmes we used to get up early for during the summer holidays ?

Some were good, ih yeah and some were awful : these ones I am talking about :

    Tintin
    The Flashing Blade
    Champion the Wonder Horse
    Belle and Sebastion
White Horses (?) not sure about this one.
Robinson Crusoe, with that depressing music.....black and white ?

no doubt I'll remember some more at some point. Weren't a lot of them foreign as well ?

I had no idea that football show ever existed. I hate football though, always have. I was probably blind to it when it came around.

That will be Barbepapa, a bit before my time, but my Mum sewed together a Barbepapa for my brother. It might still be in my parents' attic.

Btw, in one episode, I am sure you actually see what The Gods look like, not the stone statue like images they usually used but an actual God....its a blink and miss it moment but its in there...its in an episode where Uyllses has to sit in a chair of forgetfulness...you see a mysterious figure walking past in the background. In the same episode I think Uyllses askes: 'why don't you show yourselves?!'....Adds up.
