Anyone who know's anything about British 1980's computing will see they are ZX Spectrum inspired. It's for this reason they came with a memory stick containing a retro themed computer game.

      these are classy looking.

now that u mention it i can see the speccy inspired connection.

i wonder how many pairs of these where made and sold.
would have loved a par of these as i had a speccy.
has anyone still got a pair of these.
and can u get them anywhere
like at a retro clothing shop.

        Re: Trainer Trends

Can someone help us out, my husband keeps going on (and on and on and on) about 2 different pairs of trainers he used to have, one was with a tongue that had a velcro pocket on it.
The other had some kind of ball maze game underneath the trainer itself........any ideas??

I've heard of Roos with a pocket, around in the 1980s though I don't really remember them.

I had a pair of blue Gazelles in the 80's. Didn't know they still made them.

I was given a pair in 1970 or 71. I had never seen them before.

I have had several adidas over the years. Campus (green suede white stripe), Campus (white leather navy stripe), Superstar (white leather navy stripe), Rio Grande (white leather red stripe) and special edition Marathon Olympic (white leather, stripes in the colour of the olympic rings). I've still got the latter.

                              Trainers of your day/era

Which were the ones that were "in" and to be seen as "in"? For me I never botherd with Trainers til I was about 16/17 and recall well buying some Liverpool Football Club Trainers that had the badge printed into the design if this makes sense.. Then when I got my first own money about 17 I bought some Nike's at about £90 from some Sports Shop that were equal to Footlocker in Today's terms, but hardly ever wore them too much though, though I recall they were well cool

I guess I never had a real favourite pair, just any that looked nice really. What about other members?

                                Re: Trainers of your day/era

i always wore trainers a lot.
i just wore whatever i liked the looked of.

never bought them just because they where a big make like adidas etc.
mainly becauase they are so comfortable not sore on your feet.

been wearing trainers since i was young under ten.

i liked the trainers that you wore which had no laces instead one side was like sticky and you puulled someting from one side then it would stick to the other side thus tightening the trainers.
                                hope i explained this right.
