Ahh wow, Horlicks tablets! I remember getting them from the chemist too, yum. I love eating dry Horlicks powder now!

        Re: Mint Cracknel

I've been searching for this wonderful confectionery in vain for years, I loved it as a child and the 70s advert based on "Jimmy Crack Corn".

The line was discontinued because it had a lot of shelf life problems resulting in a high level of returns, the sugar strands are unstable in hot conditions.

It is a real shame but you can't get it any more.

Another lamented lost favourite of mine is Cresta.

I remember Cresta being available at some supermarkets in the mid 1990s, not sure how long it lasted.

Ahh Mint Cracknel! I must have eaten boxes of those, lovely. Also, does anyone remember "Anytime"? Huge chocolate covered blocks of mint or strawberry flavoured cinder toffee (lighter and more powdery than Crunchie). They didn't seem to be around for very long and nobody I've ever asked remembers them.

I remember those, only I couldn't recall what they were called. Looked like a massive poo in a see-through wrapper, tasted great though. I used to like the mint ones in particular.

                An accurate description
I loved those, but the cheap chocolate was nasty. Luckily it was only a thin coating

I've never seen the Lime one either. Looks tasty though! Rowntree Mackintosh made some lovely sweets imo.

If you bit a piece off and sucked it rather than crunching it, the insides all went to a sort-of toffee texture
