  • Alphabites/ Potato Shapes.

Can you still get these? In the freezer section, letter-shaped potato things, tasted pretty much the same as waffles or those smiley faces you can now get. I pretty much lived on these as a child alongside turkey dinosaurs and would love a complete retro meal - but I can never find them!

I think I've seen these recently, though they might not have been made by Birdeye. I remember the ads for them.

I know Tesco do there own make of them Alphabet letters, they are on the Tesco site for a £1 a bag, but I've not seen the Birds eye ones for years.

I think it was at either Adsa or Aldi I saw them, I looked in my local Farmfoods but couldn't see any.

They did some smiley faces & I bought an Arctic roll (I've not had one for years!)

            That's the jingle I remember!

The only time I can recall having them was at my Gran's house on the day of the 1985 FA cup final.

I remember them. They were my favourite food at the time! And not for the shapes - I loved the taste.

                    Bet I'd hate them now!

I loved those, they were very nice. They tasted different to chips but nicer than potato waffles. They were especially nice with some Noodle Doodles or Haunted House from Heinz. Now there is something they should bring back! Dora the Explorer and Hello Kitty just ain't the same.

Had these once or twice. Didn't like them that much because I wasn't a fan of waffles and these tasted the same to me.
