I tried this one at my Local car Boot Sale, going at 6am a few week's before Xmas in the "terrible believe" it was like people had said 2/4 years since .... that trhey'd said it was buzzing. The only lucky thing was a Zip-up Hoody and not much more as i'd no sleep the Saturday Night-Sunday Morning. I really hoped to find some ace bargains of many a description, but it was a right sorry mess (our Car Boot/Sunday Market claims to open at 5/6am), but even by 7am and most other Sunday 7am's, it was torrid in the extreme ...

I was even sat there watching the moonlit morning sky with a Coffee at 5: 30am it was so terrible sadly. It'l be a good while before I attempt that one again I think, at suh an early our so extreme) anyway.

I guess I'm lucky that the local weekly one where I live begins at 1pm, ust after sunday dinner! Take the rough with the smooth and you do get the odd bargains, I once went 6 months before getting anything good!
If it's lasted this long, it's worth keeping!

Any are worth going to - as long as you can hunt for the bargains io'm always quite hgappy! Wew should have a thread about these sorts of places and bargains at Car Boots etc I think. That'd be well great.

A Car Boot thread? Sounds like a good idea to me! Showing off stuff like the old sweet wrapper thread that was going a while back?

Hopefully, I've never uploaded a photo to a forum before. If people want, I'll stick some pics of retro gear up once I've played with my camera for a bit. If anyone else feels like showing off, feel free to start!

                    so its in both collections.
A mate of mine gave me the computer discs to the lord of the ring online game, which he thought I'd like and he didn't want. I have no interest in it and it's been in my office for months. Last week I went to clean out my office and the game/box is in a black bin liner as I really need to declutter (Don't think my wife has thrown it out yet). If you want it PM me, if you send me a stamped addressed envelope I'll bung it in there if you want!

It soiunds excelent. I would travel far for certain thing's but not for a Car Boot (as Milton Keynes is about 3/4 hours from me - at least byu car anyway). Though I have heard of Coach Companys doing trip's to Car Boots and Markets Car Boot. If that was the case i'd go on one no hesiations - i'd probably need a wallet consisting of about £200 but why not!

But if you knew the carboot had something you badly wanted you would go i bet even if it is 3 to 4 hrs away mate.
sometimes to get memorabilia you have to travel far it depends how badly you want it mate.

Got the train from Paddington, London, back in 2005, to Cheltenham to collect a 1986 Rover SD1 Vanden Plas V8 3500 that I'd won on ebay for about 800 pounds. Hit 115mph on the motorway back to London, happy days!! I sold her a year later but I still own an SD1. Lovely old 80's jallopies!

At one time me & my Dad would drive around car boot sales on Sundays on the off-chance there would be some decent records or CD's on sale.

I guess i'll try any way once to find my memorabilia once or may-be more - if it worked ok the first time. It is not memorabilia but I collect old Football Magazines plus new ones and could recall a specific shop in Blackpool from going their year's since and recalling the massive choice he had and I even went to the extremes of finding the Newsagents Phone Number but finding a way their on Public Transport was just a no-go at time - even if it meant Bus-Train-Bus etc.

This ambition will be there though until it is possible as I love thing's that are nostolga (though they probably are not, par one or two) I am sure they might be, but this is just an extreme i'll go to. Though until I acn get there i'm very satisfied with a marvelous shop i've found in Manchester that sells loads nostalga wise in terms of Sports Book's, Records, CD's etc and other numerous items. Manchester is slightly easier at the moment for me to visit than Blackpool, but sure as it is not easy to visit time-wise I will defenitly be keeping this thought in my mind until the times are right to visit the shop again.
