Their latest release, The Long Black Veil features such world class singers as Mick Jagger, Sting and Marianne Faithful. The sixth in Radio 2's series of musicals is a new production of Sondheim's magical score, which contains perhaps his best known song - Send in the Clowns. Described by the composer as 'whipped cream with knives', it tells the story of a group of diverse people who converge for a weekend in the country, and explores the ensuing tangled web of relationships. Heading the cast are Keith Michell and Betty Buckley.
