Pete Waterman investigates musical magpies with a look at plagiarism in the world of pop which often results in the crossfertilisation that characterizes pop culture.
With the help of professors of musicology and publishers, Pete learns how similar a song has to be to another for it to be technically the same and just how many tunes can be written with just 13 notes. He looks at music from the past and present which isn't as original as it sounds, while a music business lawyer and rights societies representatives give a rundown of the rules and details of some of the more notorious copyright cases.
