Daz take a look at this, it does say the book in the picture is an up date, but read the reviews it was around in the 70's!!!

Thanks..it has a picture of a cartoon spy on the front. cover is mostly white, with cartoon spy (trilby,brown trenchcoat,glasses,moustache,etc). back cover shows the rest of the books in that series..I must have one! my favorite book as a kid and will bring back so many happy memories

I think so yes, Just rang mum, dan's were a collection of hardbacks not paperbacks,and were more science based, but will keep an eye out for you.

One thing thats been bugging me is a book I had as a kid.
it was about 8" x 9" large paperback, not that thick. I was part of a range. The ones I had were spying and experiments. I can see the cover in my head,but never seen it online.The how to spy one was full of tips and tricks and the experiment one showed you how to make various things like a morse code machine,elestic band tank,etc..The graphics were very bright colour cartoony style. I must find out what they were called..Circa 1974+
