I can not say anything else than what you have said here Sharon. Cilla's warmth on Surprise, Surprise and Blind Date always shined through 101%

I think it is totally fair to say Cilla's virtualy universaly loved as a TV Host, Singer or for whatever reason with any doubts

Married name was of course Willis. Bobby lived in the street where I was born and lived in until I was 11.
My mum and dad liked him, he used to drink in our local pub, my mum nick named him Smiler, as that is what he always did. Smile.
The street was pulled down a couple of years back for redevelopment, I wonder if anybody saved the brick from the wall where he had carved his initials into it? I can remember that like it was yesterday but, it was many moons ago.

HER REAL NAME IS Priscilla Maria Veronica White.

I HAD A FEELING CILLA WAS SHORT FOR PRISCILLA.

BUT NEVER KNEW HER LAST NAME WAS WHITE.

SEEN PAUL O GRADY TELL A FEW STORIES AT HER FUNERAL.

Sad news, it sounded like she was in a bad way even before the stroke, with a failing eyesight & arthritis in her hands.

I was too young to remember her as a singer, but Suprise Suprise & certainly Blind Date were what I remember her best for.

sad news. strokes are devastating. I've worked with people who've been rehabilitated and despite modern day medicine and miracles I know if it was me I'd rather be allowed to go quickly. Her family will be devastated but I can't think of a nicer way to see your mam out than knowing she was loved by so many people nationwide and beyond. They must feel so proud despite the sadness.

Though I'd never heard off it - it is brilliant lovely song indeed How too Cilla sang the Surprise, surprise Theme now has become really sad for me to watch.

Cilla gave and made TV in the 1980s it's halycon days at it's real best no doubts
