"Braggers"

Who "bragged" a bit at School?
Like one lad I knew said in Primary school - he had popped to Saudi Arabia for the day and many believed him lol.
In those day's of course it was immensely far fetched but not as much now - if your family own a Private Jet may-be

Though there were other "braggers" too always taking in new toys in Primary, wearing new WindRunners/WindCheaters every week, wearing the newest coolest Trainers for PE. If you can recall any stories like these or any "braggers" it would be cool to hear of such stories

I remember 1 or 2 people at school who were tall story tellers.

never mind back then I still know few that like to brag but they don't know they doing it that's the best thing its in there blood now

True enough I think people get a kick out of saying about their exoctic holidays how much they spend on this and that load of Cobblers lol

yea they seam to rub the salt in a bit
going on holls 20 times a year buy things that we save for but tell you how much it was where from good if ya can do it but why rub it in I don't say nowt and ppl should be same got this got that haven this haven that good [

We had one boy in school who became very big-headed. He thought he knew everything about the army. When not in school uniform, he was always going around in army clothing and gear. He knew it all. His intention was to join the army when he left school. He became a laughing stock when he failed........ He was last seen around 1986/7. When the army was mentioned, he became very sheepish.

That reminds me of the time some pupils interested in joining the forces went on a trip to the local army base.

I didn't go but one of my friends did, & he told me someone was all cocky & decided to do dressed up all in black like an SAS operative.

The officer who was showing them round was none to pleased & told him not to wander off as he risked been shot on sight!

I don't know if that was a wind-up or not, but it made me laugh.
