  • Where did you keep your landline in your childhood home?

On a table By the couch

At the bottom of the stairs, by the front door. We had a dedicated “telephone seat” too, that had a cushion for the seat — and a compartment for the Yellow Pages and the Thompson Local.

The telephone was also in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs - I suppose it was a convenient position to have it in in case one gets an urgent phone call and need to rush out straight away.
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
        I'm having so much fun

The first phone I remember was mounted on the living room wall, I remember my mum always answered with our telephone number 27674.(still does though it different)
I was four when she got the call to say I could start school and I jumped up and down on the settee I was so happy.
When we moved the phone was in the living room window sill. When my mum married my stepdad when I was ten it was in the hallway on a built in telephone table. Since then they've always been on the window sill.
