The telephone was also in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs - I suppose it was a convenient position to have it in in case one gets an urgent phone call and need to rush out straight away.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I'm having so much fun
My lucky number's one
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

The first phone I remember was mounted on the living room wall, I remember my mum always answered with our telephone number 27674.(still does though it different)
I was four when she got the call to say I could start school and I jumped up and down on the settee I was so happy.
When we moved the phone was in the living room window sill. When my mum married my stepdad when I was ten it was in the hallway on a built in telephone table. Since then they've always been on the window sill.Heather
