Friday night dinner...Simon bird. show about two brothers who have "fled the nest" but still go round to mum and dads every friday night for dinner. A real load of reprobates and a socially inept neighbour who is always calling round with his pet dog Winston for the most menial things...very funny

Yes it’s one of the few ‘brutish ‘ comedies that I actually find funny ... along with Plebs and The Office .. can’t think of any others .

Oddly the two ‘sons’ are my two favourite characters/actors in Plebs and The Inbetweeners

Started my (old) folks (at home) on Foyle's War and the Richard Chamberlain tv mini-series Shogun, neither of which they had seen (my parents in their late '70s). I think their brains were really atrophying on a diet of repetitive junk 'reality' type programs! Neither has really been able to master using any of the DVD players here, I have no idea why... so I have to put something in and start it. If I don't watch I have to show someone the pause and play button.

We started getting this BBC Canada channel in a packaging switch about (not by choice, lost the BBC news and Turner Classic Movies plus one PBS U.S. station) and there is hardly ever a thing on it! Absolutely pathetic, and no excuse for one channel to be marathons of Top Gear every single day for over a month now. I check and other than a couple new sitcoms I haven't really enjoyed and won't bother a second try on there is never a thing on this channel. U.S. PBS gets better BBC programs. No Doctor Who but some **** talk show with celebs on a couch... deadly dull... and not even the Antiques Roadshow (maybe because U.S. PBS will show it however irregularly). I think maybe East Enders is on in the middle of the night but I never have liked that soap. Really, if you don't like Top Gear this BBC Canada is useless. They should just fold up the tent. No ITV channel for us I've ever heard about, but it would probably also be far less than one would hope if there was. I know BBC Four alone probably had dozens of hours of things in a month I would watch, they should just bring that over and park Top Gear for good.

Harbour Lights haven't seen this before I quite enjoyed it actually filmed from 1998 to 2000.
