I bought the Annabel Lamb single, which was not the greatest cover it has to be said..
purely because as a marketing ploy/hype, it came with a free VHS cassette of the video!!

Nina had a string of hits in Germany, when I was stationed there. I think she had two here.

It may already have been mentioned but its one of those ever present bloody songs in shops at Xmas time, Stop The Cavalry.

Somne of my fave one-hit wonders are Bryan Adams (abliet yeah he is a fantastic singer generaly but I just so loved his mega hit "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" but I do think it was a one-off in mega mega sensational hit terms! I thought Chesney Hawks "The One And Only" was really reallly good quality and that generaly speaking Chesney is a talented un-derated singer!

I recall looking for this song for the best part of 8 years easily in every shop imaginable from about 1992 - 1999/2000 then I think it was tewed up by the car radio! Still a great song though I think.

Bryan Adams had quite a few other hits, such as Run To You & Summer Of 69.

There is no way I would categorise Bryan Adams as a one hit wonder, he had loads of hits and sold zillions of albums.

I'm still surprised that Heaven wasn't a hit at all over here, it must have been one of the last US #1's not to get in the British charts.

Amanda by Boston is about the latest I can think of.

What happened to Jeff Wayne after he did the phenomenal concept album War of The Wolrds?
You can't have 70s compilation without Eve Of The War.
ITS A BELTER AND THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM!!

Jeff Wayne has written a few TV themes, most of TV-AM's music was by him.
