Just can't make my mind up

The 70's (Glam Rock, Punk, Disco)
The 80's (New Romantic, Electro, Indie, House)
The 90's (Madchester, Acid, Brit Pop)

Bloody hell they were all good decades !!! Still nothing beats THE SMITHS for me

so difficult to choose between 70s and 80s...went for the former in the end for childhood reasons such as school discos, glam rock, punk and soul, but the 80s ran it close...

I, too would have voted for the 60's if that decade had been included.Britain ruled the world then as far as music and style were concerned.
    I voted 70's

No era was as diverse as the 1970's. Glam Rock. Disco. Punk. Fantastic time for music.

For me, it was from around 1977 to 1984. Absolutely untouchable from a pop perspective. The charts were staggeringly good.

In truth, the 1960s was the best era for music.

But the 1970s was the best of the bunch I was given to vote for.

I just didn't 'get' 1990s music at all. By then it had degenerated into one mass of noise. Although it did spawn some good stuff such as Bjork and Robbie Williams. ('good' in my book anyway. You may not agree but that is your right).

Although the late 60's produced some great bands, Henrix Experience, Led Zep, etc. The 70's had the best bands ever... the Who at their peak, Roxy Music, Eno, Bowie, then things really went BANG - in bursts the Sex Pistols who lead another creative burst, with the likes of the Clash, the Damned Buzzcocks, Ramones, Devo, to name just a few. Amazing times

Being considerably older than most of you on here - I just gotta say NOTHING will ever beat the 60's music

BUT - I also must say I loved electro-synth too
