My mother liked Frank Sinatra but also Roy Orbison; my father introduced me to Los Paraguayos and general classical music

My parents had a huge collection of around 100 singles mostly from the 1960s, although ironically, none at all from the Beatles - one would have thought that they would have had one or two of them considering the era they collected them coincided with when they were in the charts.

My dad still swears that The Kinks were one of the greatish bands ever. Whenever Waterloo Sunset comes on he stops whatever he’s doing and sings along.

My Dad liked a lot of softish rock bands like The Eagles, Steely Dan, The Cars, The Doobie Brothers, Toto & Air Supply.

My parents were huge fans of Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac—that 70s rock era was on repeat non-stop in our car games house growing up.

My mum likes QUEEN and CLIFF RICHARD.

My dad doesn't really care much for music. No favourite bands. No CDs etc. Nothing. But he likes the radio. He DID like to play that song TELSTAR at full blast during bedtime...but that was probably to annoy us or the neighbours.

                He was a bit disturbed.
