Another vote here for The Go-Betweens. '16 Lovers Lane' is a great album. I'm a particular fan of 'Streets Of Your Town'.
Also, I only know one song by a band called 1927 (I think they're Australian) - 'That's When I Think Of You' was a minor hit in the late '80s and was excellent."We're the Sweeney son, and we haven't had any dinner!"

Just listening to Eighties Internet radio, and Icehouse have come on (Sidewalk)
Did they specialize in copying other 80's bands? as I would have sworn I was listening to Simple Minds
