Probably that post-Popmaster masterpiece - Macarthur Park by Richard Harris. Who really did leave the cake out in the rain?
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I'm having so much fun
My lucky number's one
Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
Jeff Lynnes' masterpiece 'Eldorado' very underrated album.
Nothing to do with that ill-fated soap opera, methinks?

Jeff Lynne has written a lot of great music from the '60s to the 2000s, amazing talent! I guess if I could have written 'Happy Birthday To You' I might be quite wealthy, but I'd have needed a time machine as well. I'd settle for writing something up there with the Sooty or Wombles themes, or I know... Rainbow... I really liked that theme of theirs! I wonder how much the composer of the Coronation Street trumpet piece gets (or their heirs)?
Actually I am a published songwriter, three with my BF (my words, his music), and one on my own with a little help from him (words and music by me), and apparently that made the top ten in Chile and Peru briefly. I think I've made $50 max, but the stuff is registered with ASCAP. Anyone want to cover our tunes?

- In Private/Nothing Has Been Proved by The Pet shop boys that Dusty Springfield did
- Angels by Robbie Williams
- Wonderwall/Don't Look Back In Anger - by Oasis
A more recent one upon re-investigating the Pet Shop Boys' songs they did with Robbie Williams - who i rate totaly equaly as one of the very best Groups and Solo Artists - I never knew the wrote She's Maddona - imagine that .... a tribute to Maddona wrote by The Pet shop boys and Roibbie singing it. These 3 are just some of the cream el-acarte and your talking here the 2 very best Solo Artists (Male and Female) ever in Robbie and Madge - what a song to write 9and more so that The pet Shop's with their own distinctive voices wrote it too)
