My parents really like The Carpenters, & this has rubbed off on me.

It's hard to decide which of their songs I like most, but Close To You is probably the one song by them I think of most.

It's only in later life that I've come to appreciate The Carpenters. Really like There's A Kind of Hush.

I so so love The Carpenters. Karen had an amazing voice I think, so beatiful. It was just such a tragic shame she was so ill and could not cope with fame etc and her bulimia, an amzing talent indeed.

I am a fan of The Carpenters late 60s stuff when they did a Radio Talk-In on American Stationa nd did a few cover versions of other group's song's ... Da Don Ron Ron being one that spring's to mind, by The Crystals I think iot was!! That was an amazing tape I had but got so worn out and in the end was ultimatly chewed up by the Car Radio. I don't think I ever found another tape with the same song's on (if I did that lasted not very long). Really impossible to find indeed.
