Okinawa Song by Ryuchi Sakamoto (from the CD Neo Geo) - This one just tears my guts out, especially when one recalls that in WWII that little island was the site of horror in which over a quarter of the civilian population perished as the USA and Japan slugged it out.

Aerosmith's 'I don't want to miss a thing' makes me want to cry! I don't know why though, I really love the song, maybe I want to sob at the beauty of it lol

Any up beat song makes me happy, ones I can dance too and sing my heart out too, my dancing is kinda scary though and I'm pretty sure my singing scares the cat but I don't care, I'm having fun LOL I like 'low' by Flo Rida, Paramore's 'Misery Business' and 'Crush', things like that

There are also songs that just make me tingle all over like Evanessence's 'Bring me to life!'

The songs that make me smile are things like "Love in the first degree " by Bananarama and "So Macho" by Sinitta cheesy but fab and the ones that have me blubbing include "The wind beneath my wings" by Bette Midler and "Winters Tale" by David Essex

This always used to make me cry back in 1971 - for some reason I thought it meant my Mum was going to leave home!

Now it makes me cry for a different reason - how horrendous were those fashions?

The song that always makes me smile, as does the video that accompanies it...

one song that makes me happy as well as cry is heaven is a place on earth by belinda carlisle.
ever since i first heard it at least 20 yrs back its always had that same effect on me.
there are many others that have the same effect but this was the first one.

I heard Emma by Hot Chocolate recently for the first time in ages. It always brings a tear to my eye.

I think the saddest song ever is Puff The Magic Dragon. It's way too sad for kids! :cry:

Lady Linda ( Beach Boys, summer '79 ). was 13, got the feeling that I was as happy as I'd ever be at that particular time & from then on, things would go downhill. While things have gone well personally, the world around me did seem to go downhill - as if someone up there flicked a switch for the worse - from summer 1980 onwards.
