Usually anything by Slade picks me up, also Madness... Noddy and Suggs... and they were both on This Is Your Life!

Any good '70s funk and disco is good too... Boney M, Kool & The Gang, Andy Gibb...

I met and had a very short chat with Suggs many years ago in Blackpool ( he was filming a documentary series ) .. he was a lovely guy .
I was walking along the front carrying two hotdogs he was sat on the steps of a tram .. he asked if one was for him .. so I obliged

We only chatted a few minutes .. I do recall ( and regret ) saying ..

“ you used to be SOOOO famous “

I don't know if it was ever aired in the UK but one of the happy songs for me was the theme song of a sitcom called "What's Happening!" which ran from 1976 to 1979.

I am still on with the late 90s and more so given East 17's signifigance at Xmas with Stay Another Day, and that totaly amazing little un-known balled they had with Gabrielle - If You Ever, which is a memory of the final Episode of Grange hill from Series 21 in 98 I'll never forget

The same goes for the Manics and Design For Life - who in my book really really are totaly under-rated as a true Rock Group of the highest order/standing!

Help me through the night-Joe Walsh listening to this moving song now it's about his daughter Emma that died as a child

Joe walsh as well as being a great guitarist is also a great songwriter, his big hit of course was lifes been good, he now plays guitar for the Eagles
