I still like that song even though it was not "yer average TOTP" type tune. (Probably why I like it so much) Jethro standing on one leg, fluting it. Beautiful.

Re: Jethro Tull : Witches Promise

I've just ordered the album "Benefit" - I think it was called - which has the track "Witches promise" as a bonus track.
But the odd thing is that I can't find it on the track listings of their studio albums of the time.
Any Tullians that can explain this anomaly?

I have a copy of their album 'Crest of a Knave' from the 80's.

IMHO the best song they did.

It's first appearence is on the album 'Living in the past', it was only released as a single originally.

'Nothing to Say' was the first Tull song I heard on my ex brothers-in-laws Bumpers Island double LP circa 1970.

But my favourite Tull song has to be 'Pussywillow' of course !

Seen Tull in concert more times than I can count. Favourite song hmmm difficult to chose, but Velvet Green has to be one of their greatest.

Taken from what I consider to be their best album 'Broadsword and the Beast', the only one I actually own apart from 'The Very Best of Jethro Tull' compilation.
