I still like that song even though it was not "yer average TOTP" type tune. (Probably why I like it so much) Jethro standing on one leg, fluting it. Beautiful.
I've just ordered the album "Benefit" - I think it was called - which has the track "Witches promise" as a bonus track.
But the odd thing is that I can't find it on the track listings of their studio albums of the time.
Any Tullians that can explain this anomaly?
Love most of Tull's early recordings. My fav album is songs from the wood.Aqualung is a great track full of tongue in cheek.Living in the past is the album I first heard witches promise.Wonderful.

It's first appearence is on the album 'Living in the past', it was only released as a single originally.
But my favourite Tull song has to be 'Pussywillow' of course !
Taken from what I consider to be their best album 'Broadsword and the Beast', the only one I actually own apart from 'The Very Best of Jethro Tull' compilation.
