Re: Haunting Songs
Thanks for that - even more powerful than I remembered.
Not a big fan of modern instruments/music in period pieces - very few people can pull it off - Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence is one of the exceptions (in terms of entertainment, nothing annoys me more than the current fad for World War 2 games with rock music in the trailers - with the exception of the Daily Mail).

Re: Haunting Songs
One of the first songs I ever 'felt', I'd have been about 7, was probably 'Bright Eyes' by Art Garfunkel and Mike Batt, so that will always have a place in my heart.
However, the music that haunts me....

Re: Haunting Songs
there is something very " haunting " about Liz Fraser's vocals, very unique indeed. Check out this version of song to the siren....YouTube - This Mortal Coil - Song to the Siren "Cocteau Twins"WHO'S THE TART?

Forbidden Colours gets my vote as does Torch by Soft Cell and Song to The Siren by This Mortal Coil. Fantastic Songs!
But of course there is also the aptly titled
Ghosts by Japan..........
