My favourite is a punk rendition of 'Silent Night' that I heard on Radio 1 c.1980, once and once only. I've never heard it since, and know not who recorded it, but that's my fave alright!
I also like 'I Believe In Father Christmas' as I think it's such a good cynical assessment of all the crass commercialism and forced jollity that has come to surround the festive season. 'Merry Christmas, Noel, be it Heaven or Hell, the Christmas we get we deserve' - absolutely.

LEAST favourites are 'A Spaceman Came Travelling' by Chris De Burgh- I HATE it!! Apologies to David, but I can't stand 'When A Child Is Born' either- who did that by the way, was it Johnny Mathis? I know he did a version if it, at least.

I often wonder - when/what date (give or take) do people start listening to Xmas Sog's? I think i'll be starting my annual marathon run that starts in the middle/late november (perhaps after the 20th this time) until early Janruary. When do other members start listening to Xmas Song's?

Not an Xmas person, personally, but the only song to listen to on Xmas day is Bad News - Cashing In On Christmas.

Reason: Around here those three songs are practically ALL they play on the radio every 10 minutes during the Holiday Season.
