Summer songs 70's-90's

I really used to like Summer and (this year especially ) I've really misssed having one.

Been wondering how many of youse have a fave song that makes you think of Summer past (70's, 80's or 90's)

Heres my first to kick things off

Mungo Jerry - In the Summertime ( first snog outside the school disco while it was playing inside - it was a very hot Summer evening in my Harrington , Ben Sherman, high leg Doc's and Sta-Prests)

"The First picture of you" by the Lotus Eaters, it takes me back to 1983 when I had completed my Highers at school and would lie on the sun-lounger in my parents' garden listening to the radio.

"Two Tribes" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood reminds me of the summer of 1984 when I passed my driving test.

"Panic" by The Smiths reminds me of the summer of 1986 when I got the sack from my job and spent most of my time getting drunk....which was nice!

"Ride on Time" by Black Box takes me back to 1989 when I first moved to London and we had the most amazing summer, I thought it never rained in London!

A good summer song if ever there was one

What about " Mr blue sky " ELO or..
" here comes the sun" the Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel version, both pretty good summer songs as well.

'Summer the First Time' by Bobby Goldsboro has an amazing sense of heat in the production of the record; the way the guitar is used and the sound of the waves.

working at Butlins Skeg 1985 the 2 biggest songs around were 'Axel F' (Theme from Beverley Hills Cop) ...long before that stooopid frog got hold of it , and 'Sister Sledge 'Frankie'
