i used to spend my pocket money on a saturday morning in W H smiths on these things .they were a piece cardboard with a cartoon type drawing on it and a clear plastic sheet what that pictures on it .you then placed the sheet on the scene and rubbed with a pen so the picture stuck to the scene,cowboys and indians on a desert scene was allways a popular one.
the thing i most remember about these things is no matter how much you went over the whole of the transfer with the pen when you lifted up the sheet you would allways have a leg or arm still on the plastic and then have to try and match up the missing limb with the rest of the body that had allready been transfered
