This is the film I watched no end of times in the eighties. Anyone else seen this? Favourite quotes from this I liked was:- Life is pain, pain is everything, you will learn, teacher teacher, I am the future.

JFK (1991)
Even though I don't buy into any of the Kennedy Assassination conspiracy theories (yes, I believe Oswald acted alone), I thought that "JFK" was very well-done with its "Rashomon"-like presentation of the story.

Re: Films again and again . . .
In the early eighties I kept repeatedly watching Class of 1984 (Mark Lester Film) I was in love with Stegman who I found so good looking (I must of been blinded by his looks as he was such a thug!). A young Michael J Fox is in it too. When I hear that Alice Cooper song it still makes me think to that film. Other songs that instantly remind me of 80s films are:-
Always something there to remind me, Bronski Beat Beat Boy (Letter to Brezhnev with the brill Margi Clarke and Alfred Molina/Peter Firth), That's Amore (Moonstruck - Cher, Nicholas Cage). Sigh miss those carefree yearsI had loads of VHS eighties films but since DVDs came out I got rid of them.

Can't believe noone's mentioned The Godfather (1 and 2!) - my favourite of all time bar none, never get tired of it . Others on regular repeat are Fatal Attraction, Single White Female, Forrest Gump and Thelma & Louise.

Re: Films again and again . . .
towering inferno is on regular on channel 5 mate.
a film i never get sick of watching.
another is the original poseidon adventure with hackman and ernest borgnine.
a truly scary film and a superb cast.
others are the indiana jones films in particular the lost ark and temple ofdoom.
although they are partly comedy tere are some bits in temple of doom which can be uncomfortable.
like the dessert frozen monkey brains.
Originally posted by 80sChav View PostI really like watching the towering Inferno - it easily qualifies as one of the best films ever made comprising the 3 decades from the 1970s to 1990s. The original truly was an all time classic I think, as can be said for all the orginal Herbie Films which I can watch agai and again.
I like Summer Holiday too very much which is just such an adventure I think, as if it was almost an "explorers type" film. Cliff Richard entering into song at so many given opportunites as he did, made the film even greater still i feel/think

i would hate to see a remake,as it would probably be just loads of fist and muscle completely ot.
my favourite part is when there being chased by the baseball gang.Quality!!!
Some films should be left alone!!!
