yeah like brush strokes and no place like home.Originally posted by smc4761 View PostThere are a few I detest My Family, The Upper Hand,Life of Reilly, Outnumbered, Green Grren Grass and yet many of these keep being recommisioned. WHY?????????
Plenty of under rated sit coms that I really enjoy and rarely get shown, Watching(probably my fav sit com) Brush Strokes, and i am sad to say i even like No Place Like Home

Outnumbered is ok but i think the kids are too young to be funny.
as they get older they will be dunnier.

Re: Worst TV sit Com ever.....
I always hated "Goodnight Sweetheart", never raised a smile to it.
I was never a fan of Hi de Hi so when most of the cast returned in "You Rang M'Lord?" and "Oh, Doctor Beeching!" I knew they would be dire - and they were.
Cheers,
Finnthedude.

clarence was not that bad mind you macster 123.Originally posted by Marine Boy View PostOh I quite liked that one. I saw a clip on YT the other day and giggled a lot.
Mind you, the reason I've not contributed on this thread before is because I don't really like judging 'worst' things

Clarence wasn't Ronnie Barker at he best, but had a few amusing moments per episode.
Certainly I can think of sitcoms much worst.

Originally posted by n3llyo View Posthate last of the summer wine, i still wake up in a cold sweat thinking of those sundays as a kid when my dad had the BBC 2 sunday league cricket on all afternoon followed by antiques road show and then LOTSW (its left me mentally scard)
other sit coms i have detested (hate them so much i cant even think of their titles) that one with paul nicholas in it where he jilted some girl at the alter (or something or the other) and then meets her again years after and then spends the next million episodes pining after her like a dog wanting a bone
there was another one about next door neighbours seem to recall as the titles came up it had like an embroidered house graphic there was a bloke in it who allways seemed to be in the garden shed it was one of those typical BBC family comedies that are dire and is as funny as IBS (and gets an airing as afternoon tv years later)
and of course the latest detest-a-fon is my family how does that get renewed constantly what a steaming pile of @*@@*+*****
there has been 11 series of my family.
started in 2000.
1 hundred and 20 episodes.
1 hundred and nine of them 30 mins long.
never really found it funny either.
guess we all have different tastes.

I never took to Truly, though he was tolerable but Russ Abbott for me totaly made me think of him differently when he joined LOTSW. He was great at comedy but not terrible at acting, similar for me to the 2 Ronnie's but opposite - I never liked them in any comedy really - though Open All Hours was not bad at times and it has grown on me, but give them me as The 2 Ronnie's in their own show and they are sensationaly funny 101 if not 110% of the time.
I liked the episode from about 200 I think it was where all the other men (Cleggy and ?, ? ) went to a Memorial in France from the War Compo had served in and I well recall Nora giving Compo very kind memories before they went which shows that though he was funny and an irritation - he was truly well well thought of at heart by Nora!
yes i remember that episode cheers for reminding me.
A sitcom i do not like is only fools and horses.
i know how well its thought of but when i see it on i just dont get it.
bc1 are doing it in the afternoons at the moment mate.

although from what i remember kathy staff stayed in it till it finished or until she died whichever came first.
but its true sometimes a show goes on to long.
and i was very shocked who far down the viewing figures went in the 5 to ten yrs.
