    Danny kendall died in 1989 through an inherited condition.

    There was also an explosion in the 2000's that killed a few apparently.

    remember the episode where a pupil fell off a higgh building and died.

    that was the first actual pupil that died.
    cant remember any other pupil dying.
    it was in the 2nd or 3rd series.

    Yes, I still think the series was pretty good. I'm up to series 10 now. But the earlier episodes were better.

    I loved the old theme tune and the bit when the sausage on a fork flew across the screen. I remember the drugs story with, erm was it Zammo and the whole say no to drugs message.
