What was your ITV region?

If you remember having one, and were you happy with it? Did you think another region might've been better? Did the licensee change like when ATV went off and Central came on? Did you ever get to see much of another region while away or even at home?

Do you remember any of the local programs that weren't shared with the other regions? Favorite announcers?

I'll claim Yorkshire as 'my' region based on that's where my mother's side was from (I'm in Canada), but that one ident they put on at the starts of their own productions in the late '60s-early '70s was quite, er, bracing! Ta-da-dat-dat-daaaah! I'd have liked to get Tyne Tees with it though, even if a bit fuzzy... did every region get their Nobody's House? That makes me wish they'd made more shows!

Mine was Thames, based at Teddington Lock.
Bearing in mind that as a child ( going back some ) screen time wasn't such a big deal as it is now. I loved the Thames TV image/panorama, Saint Paul's cathedral and Tower Bridge both included.
