I don't remember the early ones of course, but I saw the bigredbook.info website, and I thought that it was nice that they did special shows for those who weren't celebrities but those people who have done wonders for the community - nurses, foster mothers etc. Sir Nicholas Winton and Simon Weston would have been two examples of that. No one would ever accuse TIYL of elitism because of that, even though I only remember the celebrities of course.
It's a travesty that Sir Bruce Forsyth was never a subject on This is Your Life when he was alive - he would have made an excellent subject considering what he had done in his entertainment career, not to mention so many people from showbusiness would have turned up in the studio as well.
If it was brought back, then I hope that they do Rylan Clark-Neal as a subject - I think that he is a deserving person.
