During the mid 1960's Iam sure whilst on holiday in Cornwall that I bought a bag of Mintesers. does anyone else recall these? I seem to recall they were in a green bag instead of the red ones you get maltesers in. Or is my memory playing tricks<
I remember chocolate crisps !, they were actually not bad tasting. I also remember when 10p a bag space raiders released "strawberry fizz" flavour crisps ! Needless to say they were vile !
Researching and writing about food all too often has me thinking about how much better various foods used to be from their looks to their taste to their marketing. This brought me to the fun idea of a DYR Foods Ltd - fictional of course before the moderators jump in:) We have sat through...

1970 - 71 possibly, I remember my Mum only allowing me to have these as a treat. So she used to put them in a high cupboard above the sink (It did not stop me from climbing up and nicking one occasionaly though!) Naughty! Anyway, they were the same as Penguin bars but the wrapping was...
Anyone remember these sweets from the mid 70s? They were basically tiny gobstoppers in different colours but they weren't fruity or minty flavoured. They came in a little transparent cellophane pack and cost 3p at the time. I think there were two different versions, I can't remember what the other...
Does anyone remember these soft drinks from the late 70's? Fresca had a grapefruity/ lemony taste, and TAB was a kind of diet cola. Also remember Top Deck shandy and lager & Lime?
When I was five, I was taken to the circus for the first time. During the interval, I was given candy floss. I found it revolting. It’s the only time I’ve ever been to a circus, but I remember very little of what happened in the ring: only that disgusting pink stuff. Thirty years later, I...
I did a search and couldn't find these mentioned, but that is possibly because I am simple and probably missed it :( Anyway, wondered if anyone had these when they were a kid? I **think**they were given away with cereal in the '70s? Just wondered if they made memories for anyone :)...
Apologies if this has already been discussed. I searched but couldn't see anything. Does anyone remember a doll that you could collect tokens and send for from packets of Kelloggs Cornflakes? I think it was in the 1970's and my cousin was named Kelly as a result of my Aunt seeing the advert...
Can anyone remember Logger bars. They were a chocolate bar in segments that were shaped like logs. I always had the Milk chocolate ones, but I think there were other types. I used to love them but nobody else I know remembers them. Please prove that I'm not making it up!!!

Who can remember the feeling of excitment as you heard the Ice Cream man coming from three streets away, the sheer panic of missing him if your Mum didn't give you the "pennies" quick enough:rolleyes:. There's two that stick out in my mind from my childhood "Mr Whippy" and "Mr Ginelli" one had the...
Its like a crunchie but green honeycomb and mint flavoured, covered in dark chocolate with a pale green, white and clear celophane wrapper.
Can anyone remember these things I'm going to try and describe? They were similar size to iced gems and came in a similar size small bag. They were little ball shaped biscuits with a chocolately bit in the middle. They also had pictures printed on the top of them, I think they were of...
Cadbury's Cream Eggs - I remember them being the same size as a hen's egg instead of the puny bite they are now. It's not cos I was a kid with smaller hands cos I recall buying three to eat on a bus when I was like was 18/19 years old and they were a good size and too much to scoff Anyone...
I can't remember for the life in me what these sweets were called, though I remember the packaging quite well. It was a grey segment shaped plastic container like a piece of cheese. It had a rubber tail attached to it. I think there was a flap for the sweets to come out. They were cylindrical...
