Hi Everyone,
Just joined this fantastic site......does anyone remember getting drunk on Thunderbird Red or Blue as a young teenager. I was sick for days as a 13 year old trying to join in with the older kids! Foolish child (nothing changes!!)
I used to have lobby a lot as a kid.Other food I enjoyed was my dad's homemade meat and potato pie.
My mum used to do me cheese and onion ,grilled on a tin plate when I came home from school for lunch. That's still one of my favourites now.
Ohhh yes! Pork dripping with plenty of brown jelly bits in it from Browns Butchers in Hanley Market !! Can still get it too...... must put some on my shopping list !!
Eggy bread is bread dipped in beaten egg and fried until golden brown.. it's great.
