Smiths were the ones Pattie Boyd advertised. Which ones had the little salt packet you had to add and shake up? My Mum remembers in visiting Holland in the '70s there were plain crisps but doesn't remember there being any kind of salt packet. She didn't like their raw bacon or other raw (but probably smoked) things like eels and herrings there either! My virtual jigsaws: https://www.jigsawplanet.com/beccabear67/Original-photo-puzzles

I have always wondered why Walkers Crisps seem to be Britain's most recognised brand, compared to Smith's, KP or Golden Wonder. Even then I am certain that some brands are regional and are only advertised in the North East and places like that. Tudor was one of them I believe.
They are a bit like brands of bread - some are national while others are not.I've everything I need to keep me satisfied

I always associate Smiths with Monster Munch (which Walkers took them over) and Smiths Crisps (with the potatoes in the field singing to the tune of Bobby's Girl).I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
