Re: Defunct sweets?
I remember sometime in the 1980s Sweet Cigarettes became Candy Sticks with the ends no longer coloured red.
From what I remember Hedgehog crisps had a fairly spicy taste that was hard to discribe, but later on they had more standard flavourings.

Re: Defunct sweets?
One (thankfully) defunct sweet I remember form the early 70s was "cigarettes" made of some hard chalky type confectionary. The end had red food colouring on it to make it look like it was lit. There's no way that would be allowed these days.
Not a sweet as such but I remember the semi joke "Hedgehog Flavour" Crisps from about 1983. Had all the schoolboys snickering and wanting to buy a packet.

Re: Defunct sweets?
Hi
There has been 1 sweet which i can never get anyone to remember from the 70`s and i do not know the name of , so here goes . They were a mixed bag of fruit flavour balls , similar to Maltesers ( same size and honeycombed ) but with no chocolate coating . i think the packet was white and the flavours were strawberry , lemon ,orange , lime .
please somebody tell me what they were so i can prove to the wife i am not off my rocker .

Re: Defunct sweets?
This is unfortunate new, especially with the recent boom in retro sweet shops.
