  • Beamish, anybody been?

Between Newcastle and Durham there's a park with different eras represented in separate areas, but they are all connected via vintage buses, trams and trains! You can also buy items at the confectionery, fish n' chip, pub, bakery etc. Looked like a great place from a video someone made of just one day there. Durham itself also looks quite attractive as well. Would love to go, well... maybe someday. Hoo nose.

I've been there a few times, but not for a few years.

They've opened a 1950s town area since then I think. In nice weather they're probably busier. I think the Emmerdale set must be not so far off either (maybe see the real star, Minty the lamb?).

I’m local and have been a long time ago, would love to visit and see the new 1950s street

I go a few times a year being local to it. The 1950s town is excellent, a lot of the exhibits in the houses look very familiar to someone brought up in the 70s as my parents and grandparents had the same things. The 50s town isn't quite complete yet so there's more to come.

I think the 1950s part has been built since I last visited, the newest looking houses looked 1920s at the latest.
