Turn to Stone was used on one of those Japanese clips on Tarrant on TV in a 1992 compilation, and is how I first got to hear that song.

Re: Electric Light Orchestra
Stick to musicals, I say - I might get tickets if an ELO tribute musical was doing the theatres.Originally posted by tex View PostYup, still going but they have become another band that only play stadium gigs based on the increasingly popular notion that it's easier and undoubtedly more prosperous to play one show for 15000 people than five shows for 3000 people. The muppet that paid £70 for a ticket gets to stand up for four hours bursting for a pisz whilst watching the show on a giant screen....God it makes me angry!!!

Re: Electric Light Orchestra
COULD be that Jeff was inspired by the Beatles.... they made a lot of use of strings... eg Eleanor Rigby
and of course......

Re: Electric Light Orchestra
I remember the edition of Rock Family Trees about the Birmingham Beat, tracing the links between The Moody Blues, The Move & ELO.
