Suzi Quatro at Gloucester Leisure Centre '78

I was resident at Cleeve House adolescent unit at the time - I ran away on a fortnightly basis as when the police brought me back I had to be in pyjama's for the whole week of the following week to stop me running away at the time

I had two tickets to see Suzi but of course I was in pyjama's at the time

As if that's going to stop me lol

So I borrowed T-shirt and jeans from my mate Andy Cardinal (You know who you are lol)

Then off I go with Michelle Wing (You know who you are too lol) to the Leisure Centre to see Suzi

We left a lolly stick holding the fire door at the top of the spiral fire stairs to hold the door ajar slightly so we could get back in quietly around midnight

But someone had removed the lolly stick and we couldn't get back in

We rang the doorbell & were let in by night staff

The next day at the daily therapy meeting Sherry Faulkner (& you know who you are too lol) our matron so to speak asked Michelle & myself if we thought it was ok to go out without permission - I said "Yes because we had tickets" to her consternation lol
