    And also 'Make room for the mushrooms!' I always thought it odd that mushrooms had to be advertised on telly.

    Remember the Double Diamond ad with the brummies out for an Indian? 'Bet that cooled your biryani'!

    Brilliant ads, I'd love to see them again, the other one had a Younger's drinker tied to a huge rocket firework crooning 'Blue touch paper I'd ignite for the beer with the head so creamy white' and 'Haleys Comet I'd deflect, to stop Younger's bar from being wrecked' and finally a line about travelling back to Earth by meteorite.

    The one that always comes to mind with me is.

    Long grain rice all the way from America, Red Peppers, Greens Peppers, juicy green Beans, carrots and peas and a pinch of seasoning, Batchelors Savoury Rice.

    or

    Lip smacking thirst queunching....... blah blah... pepsi

    or

    chefs square shapped soups show how a good soup should be.

    Anyone remember those little cubes of soup. Yuk!!

    i always like the advert I think it was for mccain chips, where the blokes are coming home from work, in the back of a van, and wondering what's for tea, it starts off,

    "what will it be for tea tonight, will it be salad or fried onion rings,"

    can't remember most of it but ends up

    "hope it's chips, it's chips, we hope it's chips"

    lol! not very helpful, but I can't remember the words!

    Years ago in New Zealand we had a very catchie Jingle for Frosty boy ice - cream (may have been a American import) it went;

    "Frostie boy, Frostie boy to think he brings us happy joy, Your're taste buds will start to tingle when you hear his happy jingle (spoken) "Frosite boy ice creams - often licked but never beaten !"
