Is this it @ 2:17? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ-J9aEw6YA The guy is saying pm him for eps, maybe he can help you out.Originally posted by Cartimand View PostGood call for Noah's Castle - that's my current ringtone!
Personal favourite though has to be the little-known, never repeated end of the world sit-com 'Not With a Bang'. Beautifully haunting guitar solo played by Rod Argent.
Oh and respect for having Noah's Castle as your ringtone!

Re: Most haunting TV themes
The one that springs to mind straight away is the one from children of the stones.Nothing ever comes close to being that haunting or chilling.Even now it still has the power to un-nerve me after all these years.

Thanks for the correction! You wouldn't know where I could get hold of a copy of the theme tune I suppose?

I've never seen this but the music is the Sparticus suite, & has been used in a few other things.Originally posted by Trickyvee View PostI agree with the Onedin Line. It's a lovely piece of music but as a kid it totally unsettled me.

Re: Most haunting TV themes
when i saw this thread this was one i was trying to think of.Originally posted by Marine Boy View PostI know what you mean. But it's a totally brilliant theme and I recall the feeling it gave me as I sat down to watch an episode as a child in the seventies.
yes its scary even now it is.
but it was a fine show.
also quite haunting was the tripods theme snd the intro to patrick troughton as dr who it was black and white.

Re: Most haunting TV themes
Thriller (not the Armchair one) used to have a haunting theme and I remember the end credits having the goldfish bowl effect.
One of the most haunting themes was Roald Dahls tales of the unexpected. My Grandad loved it and used to whistle it all the time.

Anybody remember 'Armchair Thriller' from the 70's ? Seem to remember that being pretty spooky.

"It's heart went crack when it took the rap!
The terrible rap of the thunder clap!"
I agree, the theme is kind of frightening ..........but brilliant as well.

Re: Most haunting TV themes
My sister used to watch Follyfoot, and I'd always leave the room saying it was all girly and about ponies and that, but really, I was freaked out by the theme song that went on about a lightning tree in creepy close harmony. I'm shuddering thinking about it.
