Ipso boxes were actually compatable with lego. I had a couple in my lego set.

Great, I'd forgotten about the fantastic Banjo bars. Thanks.

thank you H for this pic of ipso.

there where just delicious and really strong flavoured.
orange where my faves but i liked them all.

a bit of info i found.

Ipso Calypso or Ipsos were sweets similar to Tic Tacs which came in four different flavours and were around in the late 1970s to early 80's. The packaging was similar to large rectangular Lego bricks which could be connected together, and came in four colours which also reflected their flavours.

    Red Strawberry
    Green Lime
    Orange Orange
    Blue Mint

The ad campaign at the time was of a man eating the sweets whilst day dreaming of West Indian Jamaican dancers on the Platform.
finishing with a Woman telling the man that he will miss his train.
The Tag line for the sweets was A little refreshment will take you a long way.

here is the add from 1980.
