I was quite surprised to be woken up by Holly Johnson's Americanos on Radio 2 jusr before 7am.

My first thoughts were he had succumbed to something AIDS related, but there was no mention on the news that followed.

Chris Evans must have pulled some strings to get it played, I've not heard it on the radio since the Berlin Wall came down.

I was watching TOTP from 1983 the other day, one song featured was one I remember hearing but couldn't out a name to.

It was Dolce Vita by Ryan Paris, I had assumed for years it was by Howard Jones or one of the other "keyboard wizards" from the early - mid 1980s.

It wasn't surprising to find Ryan Paris was a one hit wonder, but I was surprised to find he was Italian, especially as some of his singing was in a cockneyish accent.

Jungle life by Tarzan boy. I've never managed to own it so it still sounds really good on the rare times I hear it. Such a feel good song.

If you listen out for Tarzan Boy by Baltimora you may hear it

One of those glam rock bands I used to like. There was something about guys with long permed hair....

Ice Ice Baby was by Vanilla Ice, though it samples Queen & David Bowie's Under Pressure.

"Sang" is stretching it a bit!
